There are numerous public piers on the bay side of San Francisco and you can almost always find someone fishing as you stroll around.
Like most big cities, San Francisco has its cadre of street artists.
We stopped at Fisherman's Wharf for the obligatory shrimp or crab cocktail and strolled around behind Alioto's restaurant to sit on the pier, eat our snack with the fishing boats and enjoy the sunshine.
